A topical anesthetic is applied before and during the treatment to keep the eye area comfortable. The sensation is often described as light pressure, vibration or a tickling feeling along the lashes rather than sharp pain.

Your eyes remain closed throughout the tattooing process. The eyelid is stabilized in a closed position while the pigment is applied, allowing the treatment to be performed safely and comfortably along the lash line.

Pigment is customized to suit your individual eye colour and overall colouring. Depending on the effect you want, shades can range from dark brown and soft black to black, allowing the lash line to be defined without overpowering the eyes.

Immediately after treatment, the lash line will appear slightly deeper in colour. Over the next few days, the colour begins to soften and the area may feel a little dry or develop very fine flaking as it heals. The pigment continues to settle over the following weeks, with your Perfecting Session scheduled 4–6 weeks after the initial treatment.

Lash Line Enhancement gradually softens and fades over time. Most clients choose to refresh their colour within approximately 1–3 years, depending on factors such as skin type, sun exposure, skincare around the eyes and individual pigment retention.

The blue or grey eyeliner tattoos often associated with older permanent makeup were commonly created using different pigments, techniques and implantation depths. Today, cosmetic tattoo pigments are formulated specifically for permanent makeup and colour is selected carefully for the eye area. Your Lash Line Enhancement will gradually soften and fade with time rather than remaining the same intensity indefinitely.

Lash Line Enhancement is performed with your eyes fully closed and the eyelid carefully stabilized throughout the treatment. A professional cosmetic tattoo machine is used with a new, sterile, single-use needle cartridge for every client, along with strict infection-control practices. The treatment is performed specifically along the upper lash line using techniques designed for the delicate eye area. Clients with certain eye conditions, active irritation or infection, or recent eye procedures may need to postpone treatment or obtain medical clearance before proceeding.

Lash Line Enhancement is ideal for someone who wants their lashes to appear darker and fuller or would like subtle definition around the eyes without applying eyeliner every day. It can be particularly helpful for fair, sparse or lightly coloured lashes and for clients who prefer an enhancement that is barely detectable as makeup. Certain eye or medical conditions may affect candidacy, and at Cult of Rose Beauty, treatment is not performed during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
